Sculptris

Sculptris is a 3D computer graphics software made for digital sculpting. It simulates the way real-life clay moves and deforms when sculpted. Sculptris lets users create detailed works of art by adding, removing, and morphing digital clay on a virtual canvas. The software offers tools like painting on the surface of models with color gradients and textures, providing a tangible and intuitive design process for artists and designers to explore their creative ideas in three dimensions without having to worry about technical details like polygon flow or topology concerns that other professional-level programs require them to manage.

Originally developed by Tomas Pettersson, Sculptris was later acquired by Pixologic, makers of ZBrush — another advanced digital sculpting tool — in 2010. Since then it has remained available as freeware amid ZBrush's more premium offerings.
