Situated a few blocks from the picturesque oceanside, the Howdy House in Uruguay provides a stellar view of the coast while being within walking distance of just about everything. Bienvenidos a Montevideo!
Located in the Punta Carretas neighborhood, the Montevideo Howdy House is surrounded by restaurants, shops, other businesses, and some historical landmarks. It’s common to see people making their daily commutes on foot, as the walkable infrastructure and agreeable year-round climate make a great combination for pedestrians.
The house consists of three floors of offices, conference rooms, and lounges that overlook a beautiful golf course as well as parts of the nearly 14-mile-long coastal walkway known as the Rambla.
Smaller meeting rooms can be found on the top two floors of the office, providing a more efficient space for one-on-one meetings and interviews. These rooms are commonly used for weekly mentorship sessions, onboarding, training, and code review huddles.
For those needing even more privacy, the office provides five individual soundproof workstations with plenty of sunlight from their large windows. These stations are ideal for taking calls, catching up on skills training, or hunkering down on projects without distractions.
However, it’s not all work and no play at the Montevideo Howdy House. The lounge area has several cozy spots to grab a snack or a caffeinated beverage (usually mate or coffee). In addition to the comfortable couches, there’s also a ping pong table for coworkers who want a friendly mid-day match.
The back terrace provides a gorgeous view of downtown Montevideo, accompanied by the gentle seaside breeze. It’s the perfect place for socializing and catching up with coworkers at a special event or the weekly lunch. These regular meals help foster a sense of community within Howdy and provide a way to sample all the wonderful eateries in the Uruguayan capital.
